Hi Everyone:
Hope everyone is well today. Today's blog is about fear. When we have a trauma we go into fight or flight mode. But as well we can go into freeze response. This means the trauma stays in the body. It is in the electrical system as well in our energy systems of our body. In the wild an animal that is being hunted by a predator will run and if they feel they can no longer run they play dead. If they are lucky enough to escape the predator eating them, they get up and shake. The tremors actually deplete the trauma out of their body's However we do not do that and so we hold those traumas in us. So when we have a traumatic event happen and do not address it, it will stay with us on a subconscious level and is stored in our bodies. We may not even realize it is still a part of us. When someone is attacked we may go into freeze response. Many feelings can result from this. Guilt, feeling like we should have fought back, anger that we did not have the strength at the time to fight back. How do we get rid of this freeze. EFT can help with that significantly. I gave you a web site before in my blog to take a look at. I hope all of you did that. It has been a proven fact that the mind and body are linked together in the sense of trauma if not addressed becoming a physical issue. In a recent blog I talked about doing a little test. I said think of something small and focus on that. You will get a feeling somewhere in your body. That is where the trauma is stored. This is where you need to focus on with the eft. If you are experiencing these things please seek out a professional. This will not go away by itself. I know I experienced panic attacks for many years. I wish I knew what the problem was and a way to fix it long before it got to an extreme level. And for the people that are reading this blog, remember if you are a victim of sexual assault or domestic violence or child abuse. It is not your fault.Get some help. Take your control back. Just food for thought. More on eft and hypnosis next time. Please feel free to comment on my blogs. I invite you to submit a response and let me know what you may want to see in my up coming blogs.
Until then have a wonderful week
